Game settings can be edited through the server config file, which is found in the Starmade installation folder. A variety of changes can be made here, including the server's "speed limit" and how physics affect projectiles. Whenever editing a configuration file, it's a good idea to make a copy of the file first and save it in a different location in case the default settings need to be restored.
Individual settings can be edited through the escape menu in-game, where the player can enable or disable a variety of graphics and control options, such as toggling bloom, space dust effects, keybindings, and mouse sensativity.
